I get off at Oizumi-Gakuen Station and walk about a half hour to Toei Animation, past the Cosmo gas station, turning left at the kouban (police box). The Toei security guard says the gallery is closed. Many museums are closed on Mondays in Japan. I have visited this small gallery twice before, but had wanted to see what they did for Toei's 50th anniversary this year.

The photos below were taken during a previous stay in Japan on February 15, 2004. Normally you are restricted to only visiting the Toei Animation Gallery, but occasionally the company does open up more of their facilities to the public, which was the case the day I went (there was a city-wide festival). At the time of my 2004 visit, the gallery was displaying the first 10 years of Toei TV animation.

There was a free handout with the exhibit. I scanned it in two parts and have translated at least the anime titles into English: Toei TV anime, part 1, and Toei TV anime, part 2.
